On Monday 3 July, a press conference was held to announce that the Luxembourg Art Week 2017 will take place from 3 to 12 November 2017.

Guy Arendt, Secretary of State for Culture, Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the Ville de Luxembourg, Alex Reding, Director of LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK, Marc Hostert, President of the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg, and Kevin Muhlen, Directeur artistique at Casino Luxembourg, presented details of the 2017 evebt.

LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK, the youngest of European art fairs, is held in one of the most dynamic economic and cultural regions in the world. Thanks to a rigorous selection of renowned galleries from all over Europe, it allows art lovers and collectors to discover contemporary artistic production in all its diversity. It is particularly attractive for visitors from abroad.

With a number of entries that exceeded the most optimistic projections (from 7,000 to 12,000 last year), the fair is already a must-see event on the local artistic scene And regional level.

The large spaces of the Halle Victor Hugo in Limpertsberg provide participants with a professional and affordable setting to exhibit their works in the best possible conditions. For their distinguished guests, LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK has developed a programme of guided tours punctuated by a gala dinner.

After the resounding success of the first two editions, LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK returns in 2017 with two complementary sections: POSITIONS presents established regional or international galleries, while TAKE OFF highlights emerging and collective galleries of artists through works at affordable prices.

LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK will also propose an ambitious programme of conferences and performances organised in collaboration with institutional partners, among which are included Mudam Luxembourg, the Centre Pompidou in Metz and and Casino Luxembourg, to reinforce the effects of synergy.

LUXEMBOURG ART WEEK benefits from the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of the Economy and the Ville de Luxembourg and relies on a large group of sponsors and reliable partners.
