On 21 June 2017, the governing cabinet approved the appointment of members to the new Board of Directors of the Housing Fund.

The Grand Duke has appointed the new members of the Board of Directors, approved by the governing cabinet, who will begin their five-year term of office from 1 July 2017.

The government has appointed the following to the Board of Directors of the Housing Fund:

Claude Wagner, Territorial Planning Engineer in the Ministry of Housing, representing the member of government of housing; Luc Schockmel, Government Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, also representing housing; Raymond Bausch, Chief Financial Inspector, representing finance; Nadine Welter, Senior Government Advisor in the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy, representing the middle classes; Louis Reuter, Deputy Director of the Public Buildings Administration, representing public works; Laurent Deville, Senior Government Advisor to the Ministry of the Interior, representing the interior; Dominique Faber, advisor to the Ministry of Family, Integration and the Greater Region, representing family; Christel Chatelain, Counsellor at the Chamber of Commerce, representing the Chamber of Commerce; Tom Wirion, Director General of the Chamber of Trades, representing the Chamber of Trades; Serge Hoffmann, Vice-President of the Inter-Communal Union of Luxembourg Cities and Municipalities, Mayor of the commune of Hobscheid, representing the Inter-communal Union of Luxembourg Towns and Municipalities; Marcel Goerend, representing the Lëtzebuerger Chrëschtleche Gewerkschaftsbond; Eugène Bausch, representing the OGBL; Georges Dennewald, member of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Civil Service, representing the General Confederation of Civil Service.

The new Board of Directors will continue to develop the activities of the Housing Fund from July onwards. One of the first tasks will be the appointment of the new Director and Assistant Director posts, newly created by the Act of 24 April 2017 on the reorganisation of the public institution, the Housing Fund.

For administrative reasons, the Cabinet has also approved, on the recommendation of the Minister of Housing, the appointment of Claude Wagner as Chair of the current committee until 1 July when the new Board of Directors takes office.
