On 14 June 2017, an information session will take place on the so-called "Omnibus" law and its consequences on classified establishments, in Belval from 15:00 to 17:00.

Next week, the Environment Administration (AEV) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) will present this information in collaboration with the Chamber of Trades and Federation of craftsmen in the administrative building of Belval.

The much-anticipated Omnibus law of 3 March 2017 amends several key legislation on real estate and in the construction sector. It especially impacts the classified facilities "Commodo / incommodo".

The transitional period for the simplification law will end on 1 July 2017, regarding the conformity of “commodo” establishments subject to the amended law of 10 June 1999 in relation to establishments classified in its consolidated version which takes account of the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 10 May 2012.

Indeed, some changes induced by the 2012 nomenclature were accompanied by a compliance period up to 1 January 2013.

The new legislation defines in particular: the introduction of two new classes "1A" and "1B" to the existing classes; the administration can no longer declare a file inadmissible; the possibility of parallel procedures pending PAP / PAP regularisation; for "composite" establishments, from now on, only the competent authority defined according to the point in the nomenclature is capable of authorizing the activities of the establishment; new terms for class changes, changes and transfers classified establishments.

This concerns the industrial and artisanal sectors.
