More than 35,000 people turned out for the first Springbreak at Luxexpo The Box last week, with the final number still to be determined, said the event’s organisers as the five-day celebration of everything springtime came to a close yesterday evening.

The new approach to events management that Springbreak embodied, a sort of holistic market on a grand scale with pop-up shops, food trucks and stalls, music, demos, workshops, exhibitions and more, was clearly a hit with many of the visitors, though the organisers say that it also provided some learning opportunities for them too.

“Springbreak must now find its place among those who have not been able to take advantage of the changes…” they said in a press release yesterday suggesting that those with traditional views perhaps had a little trouble keeping up.

But plans for Springbreak 2018 are already in the air. “In consultation with stakeholders, we will further refine the project so everyone can find their place and get the best out of Springbreak as soon as possible,” affirmed the organisers.
